Is my data stored in the cloud?
No. HelmLog stores all your data locally on your device. We don't operate servers that store your personal data. Your trips, boats, and photos never leave your device unless you explicitly export them.
Does HelmLog work offline?
Yes! All core features work completely offline. GPS tracking, logging, maintenance. Everything works without an internet connection. Only weather and tide data require a connection to fetch.
What's included in the free version?
The free version includes 1 boat, 10 trips, 3 maintenance records, and GPX export. All core features like trip tracking, anchor alarm, crew management, and checklists are included.
Can I export my trip data?
Yes. Free users can export in GPX format. HelmLog Pro unlocks additional formats: CSV, PDF, and GeoJSON for complete flexibility.
Does it work with Apple Watch?
Yes! HelmLog includes a native Apple Watch companion app that shows real-time speed, heading, and trip distance. No extra purchase needed. It's included for all users.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. You keep access to Pro features until the end of your billing period.
